Theater

He wrote the music for about twenty plays, including:

PLAVA PTICA (THE BLUEBIRD)
ARHANĐELI I AUTOMATI (ARCHANGELS AND MACHINES), musical (the first Yugoslav rock musical)

Festivals

EUROVISION: He represented Yugoslavia at the Eurovision song contest in England in 1982 with the song Hello, Hello.
YUGOSLAVIA: He won over thirty awards at festivals where his songs were performed by top Yugoslav singers.
PRINCEZA (PRINCESS), a composition sung by Dado Topić and Slađana Milošević, was proclaimed the hit of the decade.

Concerts

The albums BALKAN 2000 AND BALKAN CONCEPT were sold in record breaking numbers in Serbia. Editions of these albums were also sold accross Europe and worldwide. With the band SANJA ILIĆ & BALKANIKA, performing the music featured on those albums, he held dozens of concerts in China, Mexico, India, America, Pakistan, South Korea, Tunisia, Canada, Macedonia, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Egypt...

Interesting facts

During a tour in Egypt, the Cairo Opera Choir (with women wearing headscarves) sang Sanja's compositions in Serbian, including Hilandar and Plava Ptica (The Bluebird).
